Supporting Parents and Carers

Parent Support Work aims to

  • Offer emotional and practical support in the wake of the terrible fear, stress, isolation and despair that parents experience;
  • Offer information and advice around the grooming process, relevant legislation, good practice and lessons learnt from other regional response to CSE, the complex processes of statutory bodies and how they can support their child.
  • Enable parents to share information and intelligence that will assist in the disruption and prosecution of perpetrators.
  • Enable parents to proactively engage with agencies working to safeguard their children and advocates for their inclusion as equal partners in interventions.
  • Promote peer support among parents and carers affected by sexual exploitation.
