ACPO Guidance on the Management, Recording and Investigation of Missing Pe rsons: London ACPO
The Ministry of Justice has published updated guidance on interviewing victims and witnesses, including child witnesses. The guidance is aimed primarily at police officers, those preparing and supporting witnesses during the criminal justice process, and those involved at the trial.

On the 13th January 2011 Baroness Gould of Potternewton led a debate on Violence Against Women in the House of Lords.
Many issues were discussed, from sexual exploitation, trafficking to domestic violence, forced marriages and FGM.
The debate also highlighted some of the government plans to deal with these issues.
Figures released in parliament on the 23rd June 2011 show that the number of people convicted of child sexual exploitation has risen from 587 in 2000 to 3,415 in 2010.

The Scottish Government has issued updated child protection guidance which covers new areas of practice such as keeping children safe online and child trafficking. There is also greater protection of unborn babies and the removal of a category of registration when placing a child on the Child Protection Register.
